The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

The Shallotte police department office is closed to the public while the building undergoes renovations. Anyone wishing to speak to an officer or obtain a copy of a police report must go to the Southend Task Force building at 130 Cheers St. The number to reach the police department is 754-6008.

•Alexis Paige Todd, 18, of 3007 Big Neck Road, Ash, was charged with simple assault.

•Lost wallet at Purple Onion; victim left their wallet in the restaurant.

•Vandalism in the Belk’s parking lot; suspect stood on the hood of victim’s car, damaging the doors and hood.

•Vandalism in the Planet Fun parking lot; suspect hit a vehicle with an object.

•Breaking and entering and larceny on Owendon Drive, Shallotte; suspect kicked in the door of the residence and stole a 12-gauge shotgun, a laptop, two watches and a variety of medications.

•Lost wallet at Walmart; victim misplaced her wallet in the store.

•Lost property on Brooks Court; victim lost their license and debit card.

•Obtain property by false pretense at Douglas Diamonds; suspect sold stolen jewelry.

•Vandalism at Birch Pond Apartments; suspect set off fireworks in a mailbox.

•David Roy Woods, 26, of 117 Al St., Shallotte, was charged with larceny by employee-embezzlement. Woods was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic offense and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

•Breaking and entering at West Brunswick High School; suspect broke a window to gain entry and stole five cases of Gatorade, six cases of Diet Coke, three Skittles, 12 Snickers candy bars and three packs of crackers.

•Embezzlement/larceny by an employee at Birch Pond Apartments; suspect failed to return company property including a cell phone, a compound miter saw and $55.
