Shallotte Crime Report

The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

The Shallotte police department office is closed to the public while the building undergoes renovations. Anyone wishing to speak to an officer or obtain a copy of a police report must go to the Southend Task Force building at 130 Cheers St. The number to reach the police department is 754-6008.

•Larceny of a moped on Owendon Drive; suspect took moped from victim’s residence.

•Vandalism at McDonald’s; suspect spray-painted graffiti on exterior walls.

•Obtain property by false pretense at Birch Pond apartments; suspect attempted to obtain money from victim.

•Vandalism on Main Street; suspect knocked a mailbox over.

•Vandalism on Main Street; suspect knocked a mailbox and mailbox stand over.

•Property damage at Cash Point Dodge City Amoco; awning fell on victim’s vehicle.

•Vandalism on Main Street; suspect knocked victim’s mailbox from its post.

•Larceny of eye drops at Kangaroo on Main Street; suspect took eye drops from store without paying for them.

•Michelle Lee Roerts, 30, of 4117 Nashville Drive, Fayetteville, was charged with shoplifting and driving while license revoked.

•Jeffery Lynn Phillips, 54, of 2165 Ocean Sound, Supply, was arrested for outstanding warrants for larceny, communicating threats and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
