The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

•Breaking-and-entering and larceny at Carolina Creations; hedgers, backpack blowers, a 59-inch hedge, a tiller and a handheld blower were removed from a fenced area.

•Debra Clemmons Long, 49, of 926 Stanley Road, Supply, was charged with DWI, driving left of center and open container.

•Joan Antonio Cortes-Serran, 28, of 4319 Cedar Oak Lane, Shallotte, was charged with DWI on a moped.

•Lost handgun at Naber Dodge; victim forgot handgun in center console of a rental vehicle.

•Obtain property by false pretense at Pawn USA; suspect sold a stolen ring for cash.

•Vandalism on Northside Drive, Shallotte; victim’s vehicle was vandalized. Suspect slashed two tires and busted the windshield.

•Breaking and entering, larceny of a lawn mower and larceny of a utility trailer on Mulberry Street; suspect cut the lock on a fence and removed the items.

•Obtaining property by false pretenses at Walmart; suspect exchanged stolen property for a refund.

•Forgery of an instrument, obtaining property by false pretense and uttering a forged instrument at Walmart; suspect cashed a payroll check for $742.15.

•Counterfeit currency at BB&T; someone passed two counterfeit $20 bills and a $5 bill.

•Jermaine Jerome Lennon, 24, 199 Maple Lane, Chadbourn, was charged with felony probation violation and felony larceny after breaking and entering.

•Kimberly Nichole Ayscue, 38, of 2572 Brookford Lane, S.W., Supply, was charged with felony shoplifting.

•Shoplifting at Walmart; suspect removed $1,455.87 worth of items from the store without paying for them.
