Shallotte Crime Report

The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last two weeks. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

Thurston Avery Etheridge, 66, of 825 Crusoe Road, Whiteville, was charged with sexual battery based on an outstanding warrant.

William Kenneth Wilson, 22, of 3018 Mount Misery Road, Leland, was charged with simple affray after a fight on Paisley Drive.

Tiffany Ann Wilson, of 12 Paisley Drive, Shallotte, was charged with simple affray after a fight.

Breaking and entering and larceny on Wildwood Street; suspect removed hand tools from the victim’s vehicle.

Larceny of a television at Walmart; suspect removed a 46-inch television and a gas trimmer from the store without purchasing the items.

Shoplifting, conspiracy to commit larceny and simple assault at Belk; suspect entered store and concealed 10 pairs of socks valued at $174.

Counterfeit currency at Walmart; suspect passed a $100 bill, two $20 bills and a $10 bill.

Frederick Corbitt Pence, 27, of 2485 Robinson’s Trail Lot 4, Supply, was charged with possession of a schedule III controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container.

Megan Michelle McQuay, 28, of 1800 Clemmons Road Lot 6, Bolivia, was charged with DWI, open container and driving while license revoked.

Herschel Greene, 31, of 1235 Stoney Brook Drive, Conway, S.C., was charged with fleeing to elude arrest, driving while license revoked and fictitious plates.

Counterfeit currency at Family Dollar; subject passed a counterfeit $20 bill.

Larceny at Walmart; suspect scammed the cashier out of $80.

Larceny at PetSense; suspect misled clerk into giving them back more money, $60, than was owed.

Gabriel Hemphill Oatsvall, 26, of 3869 Hughes Smith Road, Ash, was charged with DWI, no operator’s license and open container.

Shoplifting at Walmart; suspect attempted to remove items from the store without paying for them. Items included video games, a backpack, a diaper bag, diapers and various items.

Keith Jonnae Warren, 21, of 4540 Maple Hill Road, Shallotte, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and fictitious registration.
