Shallotte Crime Report

The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last two weeks. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

Larceny of various lawn equipment from Kimball’s Furniture; items taken include a flat bed trailer, a white box trailer, two riding mowers, a blower, hedge trimmers, a push mower and two license plates.

Two incidents of breaking and entering and larceny from a vehicle on Cedar Ridge Road; suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and building and took a back flow meter, a vending machine, a generator and a charger.

Larceny of a center hubcap on Birch Pond Drive.

Communicate threats on Country Club Drive; suspect threatened to slit victim’s throat.

Joseph Norman Bass, 28, of 2442 River Street, Supply, was charged with larceny.

Vandalism on Fairway Drive; suspect damaged a mailbox and post.

Vandalism on Shallotte Avenue; suspect broke the steering column and gear-selector lever.

Larceny of a 55-inch LCD television from Walmart.

Breaking and entering on Bluff Drive; suspect entered a residence through rear door.

Missing person on Brooks Court.

Call for service on Whiteville Road.

Larceny of two 2.5 ton air conditioning units on Edem Lane.
