Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated the following incidents last week. All information is taken directly from police reports.

•Police charged Joan Carol Stanley, 49, of Hen Cove Road, Shallotte, with being drunk and disruptive Tuesday, Sept. 30. An officer responded to a call about a person in the street. When the officer arrived, Stanley was sitting on the side of the road.

After being treated by EMS, she cursed at the officer and would not comply with the directions. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center.

•Larceny of beer at Kangaroo on Main Street; suspect put two cases of Bud Light in her purse and left the store.

•Larceny of wallet at Chili’s; suspect took victim’s wallet off the counter. The wallet contained $700 in cash.

•Larceny of license plate at Black’s Tire; suspect removed an N.C. license plate from a truck belonging to the Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

•Breaking and entering and larceny of items at Shallotte Manor Apartments; suspect broke into victim’s apartment and stole a pair of tennis shoes valued at $65, a $300 14K white gold diamond heart ring and a $425 digital camera.
