The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

Jan. 10

Breaking and entering on Main Street; suspect attempted to knock the door of its hinges at a business.

 

Jan. 12

Larceny of jewelry from a gym bag on Main Street; victim’s jewelry was removed from the gym bag.

 

Jan. 14

Fire on Country Club Drive; fire originated from the left rear of the house/back patio.

 

Jan. 15

Breaking and entering on Bay Village Street; suspect climbed into a window of the house.

Communicating threats at a drug store on Main Street; suspect called requesting narcotics and then made threats.

 

Jan. 16

Breaking and entering and larceny on Kimberly Ann Lane; suspect removed a bag of duck decoys from a fenced yard.

Breaking and entering on Village Road; suspect walked in the front door uninvited.

Lost purse on Sellers Street.

Larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle and assault in a parking lot on Main Street; suspects attempted to remove property from the victims through an assault.

Obtaining property by false pretense by using a stolen credit card at Walmart.

 

Jan. 17

Larceny of a carton of Newport cigarettes from a Main Street business without paying.

 

Jan. 18

Brittany Elizabeth Galloway, 27, 1441 Milligan Lane, Shallotte, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, a schedule VI controlled substance.

Joshua Keith Inman, 16, 287 Post Oak Road, Ocean Isle Beach, was charged with stealing from Belk and consumption of an alcoholic beverage while being less than 19 years of age.

Larceny of two drill combo kits from Home Depot; suspect took the merchandise and ran out the back door.

 

Jan. 20

Robbery of a person on Highlands Glen Drive; suspect struck victim and stole $20 from the victim.

Dedric Allison Murphy, 39, 11913 Old Lake Road, Reiglewood, arrested for failure to appear.

 

Jan. 21

Michael Dewayne Faircloth, 23, 639 Lockwood Folly Road, Bolivia, charged with stealing from Walmart.

Mitchell Howard Barfield, 16, 2196 Holden Beach Road, Supply, charged with stealing from Walmart.

Counterfeit currency and obtaining property by false pretense on Main Street; suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill to obtain property.

Obtaining property by false pretense at Walmart; suspects obtained property by false pretense by using a gift card.
