The Shallotte Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

March 8

Obtaining property by false pretense on Main Street; suspect used a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise during seven transactions totaling $927.04.

March 9

Shoplifting at Walmart on Main Street; suspect attempted to take hamburger buns and a 16-ounce drink from the store without paying for it.

March 10

Larceny of beer on Main Street.

March 11

Counterfeit currency; suspect attempted to pay for food at Kentucky Fried Chicken with a counterfeit $10 bill.

Missing person on Sellers Street; victim walked away from a medical facility and was later found.

Kevin Benjamin Coleman, 56, 4371 Owendon Drive, Shallotte, failure to return rental property.

March 12

Breaking-and-entering and property damage on Village Road.

Disturbance at Shallotte Assisted Living; victim found the suspect wearing victim’s clothing.

Larceny at Shallotte Assisted Living; $60 cash was missing from victim’s nightstand.

March 13

Auto larceny at Walmart on Main Street; suspect took victim’s Ford Taurus.

Fraudulent use of an address; victims were mailed a counterfeit check for $2,150.

March 14

Larceny of $55.24 worth of gas at Go Gas on Main Street.

David Lee Robinson, 71, 206 McMilly Road, Shallotte, failure to appear on driving while license revoked.

March 15

Obtain property by false pretense on Fairway Drive.

March 16

Gerald L Hackney, 46, 102 Creek Drive, Shallotte, assault on a female.

Larceny of tires at Ocean City Chevrolet; suspect took four tires and four rims valued at a total of $5,000.

March 17

Nichole Leetha Cross, 21, 3076 Lesa Drive, Supply, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
