Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated the following incidents last week. All information is taken directly from police reports.

•Three instances of forgery and uttering at Bank of America; suspect removed victims’ mail and used the information to forge three $1,500 checks. The case was turned over to federal investigators.

•Breaking and entering and larceny from residence on Village Road; suspect pried open a window of victim’s house and stole $950 in cash and thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

•Prescription fraud at Walmart Pharmacy; suspect presented three fake Oxycodone prescriptions to be filled.

•Larceny of purse in Walmart parking lot; victim’s purse containing $200 in cash, keys to where she worked and her bank cards was taken from vehicle.

•Larceny of saddle bags and vandalism in DMV office parking lot; suspect took victim’s saddle bags valued at $600 from his motorcycle and caused $2,000 in damage to the bike.

•Police cited Jennifer Lynn Hall, 48, of 925 Benton Road, Bolivia, with stealing $290.90 worth of items from Walmart.

•Police cited Travis Hank Priest, 20, of 2453 Pinfish St., Supply, with stealing three pairs of shoes valued at $113.02 from Shoe Depot.

•Police charged Ruth Lynn Wright King, 40, of 2904 Bethany Court, Supply, with driving while impaired, driving while license revoked and careless and reckless operation of a vehicle at the Walmart entrance.

•Police charged Michael Brent Johnson, 19, of 180 Wardtown Road, Whiteville, with driving while license revoked, fictitious registration and no insurance at Z’s Outlet on Holden Beach Road. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $1,000 secured bond.

•Larceny at the Shallotte Laundry Center; suspect stole three 200-foot drop cords, three 100-foot drop cords, a 20-foot power surge protector, a 9-foot power surge protector, a 100-foot green drop cord, 300 cleaning rags and a Swiffer Sweeper.

•Police charged Jason W. Kelly, 34, of 3103 Sea Oaks Drive, Supply, with driving while impaired and no operator’s license at the intersection of Main Street and Whiteville Road. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center.

•Vandalism/property damage at Access Storage; suspect’s vehicle ran into the security gate, causing $3,500 in damage.

•Identity theft on Smith Avenue; suspect used victim’s information to obtain a line of credit.

•Breaking and entering and vandalism at Shallotte Middle School; a juvenile suspect was found in a classroom trailer after an alarm alerted police. He had been reported as missing the previous night. He was detained and then released to his parents’ custody.
