SHALLOTTE CRIME REPORT

Shallotte police charged the following people and investigated the following incidents last week.

•Police charged Robert Leslie Hines, 42, of 1154 Hale Swamp Road, Shallotte, with breaking and entering, larceny from a motor vehicle and auto larceny. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed on a $30,000 secured bond.

•Police charged Janice Marie Fullwood, 38, of 419 Starboard Knoll Road, Shallotte, with driving while impaired and simple assault at Walmart. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center.

•Police charged Candice Nicolle Hodges, 19, of 190 Cooper Stone Road, Sanford, with careless and reckless driving and speeding on Main Street. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed on a $500 secured bond.

•Police charged Crystal Sheppard, 36, of 4024 Pintail Ave., Shallotte, with simple assault. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center and placed on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

•Larceny of a boat motor on Shallotte Avenue; suspect removed shifter and shifting linkage from an outboard motor. All parts were removed meticulously with no damage to the boat or motor.

•Breaking and entering and vandalism on Arnold Street; suspect tried to enter the victim’s residence by pushing the front door in. The suspect was unable to get in, and nothing appeared to have been taken.

•Vandalism on Highland Forest Circle; one of the rear windows of an apartment under construction appeared to have been broken out.

•Vandalism at the Division of Motor Vehicles in Shallotte; suspect broke into four drink machines and emptied the cash boxes.

•Simple assault in the Walmart parking lot; suspect struck victim in the chest after victim asked the woman if she needed any help.

•Counterfeit currency at Walmart; victim found a counterfeit $20 bill while counting money.

•Embezzlement/larceny by employee at Andy’s Cheesesteaks; suspect took the $1,080 deposit from the business, but it was never deposited in the account.

•Larceny at Walmart; suspect removed a $2,100 saw from the bed of victim’s pick-up truck.
