Shallotte crime report

Shallotte police investigated the following incidents last week:

•Larceny at Tomco of Shallotte; a $2,500 brake machine was reported taken from vehicle.

•Larceny on Nicklaus Court; a $400 Honda Quatro Cut self-propelled lawn mower was reportedly removed from the back of victim’s truck overnight.

•Communicating threats at Kangaroo; suspect made threats and swung pipe at the victim.

•Uttering counterfeit currency and obtaining property by false pretenses at Wal-Mart; victim reported suspect passed five counterfeit $20 bills, four to apply to a credit card and another to purchase merchandise.

•Vehicle pursuit on Village and Copas roads; during a routine traffic stop, underage driver fled from officers; was later charged and taken to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

•Larceny from a motor vehicle; a $300 Garmin GPS, a $200 Nintendo DS and $50 worth of Nintendo DS games were reported stolen from victim’s car.

•Lost wallet at Rourk Branch Library in Shallotte; victim reported losing a $15 wallet containing various cards at the library, thinks it was stolen.
