Shallotte man pleads guilty to child sex charges

A Shallotte man has pleaded guilty to several rape and sexual assault charges.

Marvin Alfred Legg, 48, of Shallotte pleaded guilty to the following charges last Wednesday: one count of first-degree statutory rape; one count of first-degree statutory sex offense on a child younger than 13; three counts of statutory rape on a child who was 13, 14, or 15; three counts of statutory sex offense on a child who was 13, 14, or 15; and six counts of indecent liberties with a child.
