Shallotte planning board OK's six-phase development, new KFC

SHALLOTTE—Planning board members on Tuesday night recommended approval of the preliminary plats for phases I, II and III of a planned six-phase residential development on Cumbee Road off U.S. 17.

The board voted unanimously to recommend approval of the plats for Sea Wynde Plantation presented by developer Adam Lisk and forwarded their recommendation on to the board of aldermen for approval.
