Shallotte Police look for items stolen from business

SHALLOTTE—Detectives with the Shallotte Police Department are seeking the public’s help in finding property stolen from a local business.

On Wednesday, Oct. 24, a trailer and variety of lawn equipment were taken from behind Kimball’s Furniture at 4502 Main St.

Detectives are looking for a 2005 or newer burgundy or red Ford Explorer that is believed to be involved. It was last seen heading in the direction of Holden Beach Road from the intersection near Walmart.

Stolen items include a 6-by-14-foot black flatbed Big Larry’s trailer with an ammo box mounted to the rear opposite side of the tongue, a 10-by-6-foot white Pace box trailer; a 54-inch deck 2011 Scag riding mower; a 38-inch deck John Deere 1999 riding mower; a John Deere push mower; a heavy-duty Shindaiwa blower, hedge trimmer, a 34CC trimmer and a 35CC trimmer; and two non-expiring North Carolina registrations.

All of the property was taken between 6 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 23-24.

Police said they are seeing these types of thefts throughout the county and advise residents to be aware.
