Shallotte police report

Shallotte police made the following arrests and investigated the following incidents last week:

•Police arrested Anthony Turner, 27, of Deerfield Place, Winnabow, on charges of attempted breaking and entering, larceny from buildings, safe cracking and injury to real property. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $15,000 secured bond.

•Police arrested Russell Lear Hatcher, 39, of Lutner Street, Rockingham, on charges of possession of stolen vehicle and larceny. He was taken to Brunswick County Detention Center on a $5,000 secured bond. The 1999 Ford Econoline he was driving was impounded and taken to Brunswick Storage.

•Police arrested Vivian Floyd Carter, 49, of Highway 1, Rockingham, who was in the van with Hatcher, on charges of possession of stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to Brunswick County Detention Center on a $5,000 secured bond.

•Police arrested Eric Lynn Kelly, 35, of First Avenue, Rockingham, also in the allegedly stolen van, on charges of possession of stolen vehicle, unauthorized use of motor conveyance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $5,000 secured bond.

•Police arrested Robert Timothy Smith, 37, of Bay Village Drive, Shallotte, on charges of driving while impaired, driving while license revoked and leaving the scene of an accident. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a $1,000 secured bond.

•Police arrested Kevin Devon Neville, 40, of River Street, Supply, on charges of possession of cocaine and driving while license revoked. He was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center on a secured bond.

•Police arrested Kenna Renee Wiles of Sasspan Drive, Shallotte, on charges of simple assault and communicating threats. She was taken to the Brunswick County Detention Center.

•Fraud and obtaining money/property by false pretenses at Shallotte Crossing; suspect stole a receipt from victim’s truck and later stole a $119 weed eater. The suspect then took the weed eater back to Home Depot for a refund.

•Property damage at Wal-Mart; suspect hit victim’s vehicle with shopping cart, causing $500 in damage.

•Larceny of purse on Arnold Palmer Drive; victim left purse on counter, and reported it stolen. The purse contained $140 in cash. It was later found with its contents intact.

•Larceny of television at Wal-Mart; suspect removed a 32-inch TV valued at $597 from store.

•Larceny on Cedar Ridge Street; suspect removed two bicycles, each valued at $75, from victim’s front yard.
