Shallotte police investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests in the last two weeks. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

Feb. 18

Jamie Tyrone McCracken, 35, 3786 Strawberry Drive SW, cited for shoplifting items valued at $93.68 from Walmart.

Feb. 28

Gloria O’Brian Gonzales, 54, 5103 Angler Lane, Greensboro, arrested on a charge of shoplifting items from Walmart.

Sakeema Arnette McCracken, 29, 24 Paisley Drive, Apt. 107, cited for shoplifting items valued at $93.68 from Walmart.

Rachael Jeannette Locklear, 32, 1570 Pelican Place, cited for larceny of $38 worth of items belonging to a resident.

Larceny of money taken from a wallet left on the counter at McDonald’s.

March 1

Property damage after a vehicle backed into a parked moped at Smith Avenue and Main Street. The vehicle left the area after damaging the moped.

Vandalism of the Randy’s Meat Center sign on Ocean Highway West by someone backing into the sign with their vehicle, causing $4,000 damage, then leaving.

March 2

Vandalism of a house on Wellington Place by someone throwing eggs at a window.

March 3

Property damage to a vehicle parked in parking lot on Paisley Drive SW by someone kicking one of the vehicle’s doors.

March 5

Larceny of a cell phone valued at $50, taken from Comfort Inn.

March 7

Larceny of a ladder taken from a house on Owendon Drive.

Lost property reported after someone misplaced a wallet at Wendy’s.

March 8

Vandalism of the hood of a vehicle scratched while parked at Brooks Court Apartments.
