Sheriff’s detectives search for missing Shallotte man

Update: Stephen Jeffery Stutts was found in Supply on Monday. He has returned to his residence.

Stephen Jeffery Stutts, 25, of Shallotte, has been missing since Friday, Jan. 13.

Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a missing Shallotte man.

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Sgt. Del Routh said detectives are searching for Stephen Jeffery Stutts, 25, of Shallotte, who has been missing since Friday, Jan. 13.

Stutts has brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 255 pounds. Stutts was last seen traveling on foot down Copas Road in Shallotte. His direction of travel is unknown.

Anyone with information about Stutts or his whereabouts is asked to contact detective Kyle Jones at the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, 253-2777.
