Thurston Etheridge brought his son, Brian, home from New Hanover Regional hospital Nov. 14, three weeks after a one-car crash nearly killed him.
As far as Etheridge is concerned, his son would be dead if it wasn’t for Sheriff John Ingram.
“I don’t take credit for that, the first responders—emergency personnel, fire department, EMS—deserve the thanks and gratitude. A lot of them are volunteers. I’m thankful they are out there. I hope everyone is,” Ingram said.
