Sheriff's deputies search for burglary suspect

CAROLINA SHORES—Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a first-degree burglary suspect wanted for the breaking and entering and larceny of a Fairway Court home.

The suspect, who deputies say has been involved with other breaking and enterings and larcenies in the Calabash business district and the Carolina Shores residential district, entered the victim’s home around 1 a.m. March 6.

The suspect stole two debit cards, a credit card, a Social Security card, a driver’s license, a set of keys and a Buick Ultra Park Avenue. Detective Chris Barbour said the suspect stole a pair of the victim’s pants in a Wal-Mart bag and returned the pants to the North Myrtle Beach (S.C.) Wal-Mart around 1:30 a.m. After returning the pants to Wal-Mart for $22.47, Barbour said the suspect returned the victim’s car to the corner of Country Club Drive and Carolina Shores Drive.

The suspect is between 5-feet-11 and 6 feet tall, weighs between 170 and 185 pounds and has brown or black hair. The suspect usually wears dark clothing and white tennis shoes.
