Sheriff's office charges suspect, searches for another in drug deals

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Taskforce, along with the Wilmington ATF, has arrested Hakeen Ahmad Muhammad (aka Alfred Lamont Butler), 38, of Rusty Trail in Longwood.

Muhammad has been charged with four counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, four counts of selling and delivering marijuana, one count of conspiracy to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, one count of conspiracy to sell/deliver a Schedule VI controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of selling cocaine, one count of aggravating factors, and six counts of habitual felon.

Muhammad is being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility under $1 million secured bond.

Muhammad was out on bond and awaiting trial after being arrested in October 2011 for the murder of Sherman Audon Daniels.  Anyone with information in regard to this case is asked to contact Capt. Sam Davis with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Taskforce is also looking for Derrick Antonio Daniels, 33, of Bellamy Road in Longwood. Daniels is wanted for one count of conspiracy to sell/deliver cocaine, one count of conspiracy to sell/deliver marijuana, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of selling/delivering cocaine, two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana, and two counts selling/delivering marijuana.

Daniels is a black male, 6 feet tall and weighs 280 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on each shoulder as well as his forearms.
