During December, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office V.O.I.C.E Citizens Patrol conducted 28 community patrols countywide with 35 volunteers and logging a total of 2,886 miles.
Volunteers spent 332.5 hours volunteering in administrative support, 130.5 hours in the detention center, 81.5 at the courthouse, 40 hours conducting transport support, 41 hours at special/community events, 62 hours on the unsolved cases team, 4.5 hours of support to Air One, 101.5 hours helping Animal Protective Services and four hours in the G.R.E.A.T. mentor program.
