During October, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office V.O.I.C.E Citizens Patrol contributed 1,213 hours of service at a value to the Brunswick County taxpayers of $18,527.64.
Volunteers served in administrative services, detention center and courthouse visitor screening, animal-protective services, community events and reviewing unsolved cases for the detective division.
Using the service of 37 volunteers, they conducted 36 community patrols logging 3,295 miles in two Citizens Patrol cars.
