The Brush Dental U13 girls Shock finished the season with two wins, ending its season in the Pleasure Island Soccer Association 9-0.
This is the Shock’s third straight championship and runs its unbeaten streak to 32 games.
The Shock won the first game with a goal in the first half from Kira Frawley off an assist from Caroline Hawthorne. From there the Shock relied on its strong defense and finished the game with a 1-0 shutout, its fifth of the year.
In the championship game, the Shock played with no substitutes and won 3-1. Frawley led the team with two goals scored and Kayla Crouch scored one.
The Shock was led on defense by Hope Simmons, Nicole Gibbs, Amity Croft and Leah McDonald. “Those girls have committed to playing great team defense all year and, along with goalies Cailin Baldwin and Kayla Crouch, are all very proud of five shutouts in nine games,” coach Mark Giordano said.
