The U13 Shallotte Shock girls’ soccer team finished its season with a second-place finish in the St. James Island tournament in Charleston, S.C.
Last year, the Shock finished first in the bronze division. This year, the Shock played in the highest division. The Shock won its first game 3-0 and then tied a Myrtle Beach, S.C., team 1-1.
On the second day of the tourney, the Shock lost 4-1 to a team from Wake Forest, ending a 34-game unbeaten streak.
The Shock won its next game 2-1, securing second place.
