The Brush Dental Shock 13U girls’ soccer team won a tough match 1-0 to remain unbeaten for the year. The Shock again played up two full-age divisions against 15- and 16-year-old girls. Despite being greatly undersized, the Shock was able to shut out its third opponent out of four it has faced this year.
“The Shock prides itself on being the most fit team on the field and use constant pressure on the ball to wear teams down,” coach Mark Giordano said.
Kira Frawley used her speed to get past defenders and hit what was the winning shot into the back corner of the net in the first half.
“The Shock then applied tenacious team defense and received great goalie play from Kayla Crouch and Cailin Baldwin to lock up their win,” Giordano said.
