Simmons traded to Bulls

Brunswick County native Cedric Simmons was sent to the NBA’s Chicago Bulls last week as part of a three-team trade involving 11 players and a 2009 draft pick.

Simmons, a former West Brunswick High School and N.C. State University standout, is now with his third team since being selected with the 15th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

He made his debut with the Bulls Sunday in Houston and played two minutes and scored two points.
