Smith-Kohler engagement

Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Christian Sarah Smith of Holden Beach and James E. Kohler Jr. of Shallotte. The bride-elect is the daughter of George F. Smith Jr. of McLeansville and Kay M. Smith of Holden Beach. The prospective groom is the son of John E. and Leigh Ann Milliken of Shallotte. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg. A Sept. 3 wedding is planned at Holden Beach. The couple will reside in Fayetteville.
