South Brunswick qualifies three relays for state swim meeet

South Brunswick has qualified three relays for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Class 3A state swim meet.

The team of sophomore Savanna Michaux, junior Michelle Richards, junior Morgan Gilbert and senior Rachel Van Noordt finished seventh in 1 minute, 52.42 seconds in a qualifying race Saturday at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary. The winning time in the regional was 1:43.64 by Cardinal Gibbons.

The top 12 finishers in each regional event qualify for the state meet Feb. 8-9 at the same site.
