South Brunswick’s girls rolled to an easy victory against Trask while the boys suffered an overtime loss in high school basketball action last Tuesday at Boiling Spring Lakes.
The Lady Cougars jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 62-26 win. They outscored the visitors 26-7 in the fourth quarter and improved to 4-7 in the Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference and 9-13 overall.
Kat Adams scored a game-high 23 points and Brittany Spivey chipped in 20 to lead South Brunswick. Christina Deveney tallied 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
