For South swimmer, practice leads to success

Three-tenths of a second. Less time than it takes to inhale.
That’s all Rachel Van Noordt needs to break her fifth school record on South Brunswick’s swim team.
“I’m hoping to take off one more school record,” Van Noordt said of that goal in the 50-yard freestyle. “I was so close—three-tenths of a second.”
The four school records she has are in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle and the 200 individual medley.
