Beach water temperatures have reached the 70-degree mark and that is the magic number to bring a variety of life to our waters. All last week we had been wearing out the bluefish, trolling spoons along the beachfront and around inlet mouths. By Wednesday or so last week, we caught our first Spanish mackerel mixed in with the bluefish.
