The special operations team at the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office includes the K-9 enforcement team and Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team.
The ACE Team is a support unit whose primary functions are traffic enforcement and assisting in the apprehension of drug traffickers in the county.
From Sept. 3-9, special operations deputies issued 37 total traffic citations and charges.
Deputies conducted patrols in Leland, Winnabow, Northwest, Ocean Isle Beach, Shallotte, Supply and Calabash.
The following suspects were charged:
•Nicole Wisley, 24, 1300 Presidents Drive, Boiling Spring Lakes, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
•Brandy Hines, 32, 524 Cumbee Road, Supply, simple possession (THC) and drug paraphernalia.
•Dwayne Lloyd, 40, 1914 Blacksmith Road, Bolton, open container, simple possession of schedule II and schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Bryan Owens, 27, 1150 Galloway Road, Varnamtown, open container, DWI, no operator’s license.
•Adolph Kennedy Jr., 54, 2380 Maco Road, DWI, no operator’s license.
•Kim Proctor, 126 Park Ave., Southport, simple possession (THC) and drug paraphernalia.
•Lamont Proctor, 65, 126 Park Ave., Southport, simple possession (THC) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
