Special Operations Report

The special operations team at the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office includes the K-9 enforcement team and Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team. The ACE Team is a support unit whose primary functions are traffic enforcement and assisting in the apprehension of drug traffickers in the county.

From March 4 through March 10, special operations deputies charged the following suspects:

Michael A. Smith, 26, 120 West 9th Street, Southport, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nicole L. Cox, 28, 2341 East Boiling Spring Road, Southport, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patricia Marie Gonyea, 25, 519 Maple Branches Drive, Belville, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
