Kayla Padgett update
In the Conference USA track and field championships in New Orleans, ECU freshman Kayla Padgett finished fifth out of 18 competitors in the shot put with a mark of 14.30 meters (46 feet, 11 inches). All of the competitors were either freshmen or sophomores. The winning mark was 15.82 meters (51 feet, 11 inches).
She was eighth in the discus with a throw of 44.45 meters (145.10).
