$5,000 top prize in WBHS raffle
The West Brunswick High School Athletic Booster Club reverse raffle banquet is 6 p.m. March 9 in the school cafeteria.
The top prize is $5,000. Secondary prizes are $250.
Tickets cost $100, and it admits two for a steak dinner.
The goal is to sell 250 tickets, West athletics director John Floyd said.
“The moneys are used to support WBHS athletics, buy uniforms and make facility Improvement,” he said.

Cedric Simmons
Cedric Simmons scored 15 points and had 11 rebounds in Enel Brindisi’s 97-81 loss Sunday in an Italian professional basketball league game. Simmons also blocked a shot and played a team-high 37 minutes. The team is 9-9 and tied for eighth in the 16-team league.
Simmons is sixth in the league in blocked shots (1.3 per game).
