Speedway feature on ATMC-TV
ATMC-TV will broadcast a feature about the Myrtle Beach Speedway, “Myrtle Beach Speedway Comes Alive in 2013.” The show begins March 16 and will run at 12:30 p.m. Saturdays and 8 p.m. Sundays through April 14. The show highlights the history of the speedway, the events that will be featured there in the 2013 season and some of the track champions and various other competitors who raced in the Myrtle Beach 400. In addition, there will be highlights from other events at the speedway, including bus races, stunt shows, monster truck races and the NASCAR Racing Experience. The show also will be available online at ATMCTV.com and through ATMC OnDemand on ATMC Cable Channel 1.

Flag football set for March 16 in Leland
The St. Patrick’s adult flag football tournament begins at 9 a.m. March 16 at Northwest Park in Leland. Entry fee is $150 per team and includes a players’ spaghetti lunch. For more information, call Rob Mack, tournament director, at (843) 796-0536.

Coed softball registration
Brunswick County Parks and Recreation Department is offering coed softball leagues. The league plays a regular-season schedule followed by a double-elimination tournament. The season starts June 3.
Team registration fees are $500. League managers will meet at 6:30 p.m. May 9 in the conference room at the parks and recreation building. Call 253-2670 to register or for more information.

Anglers in training weekend
Oak Island Parks and Recreation Department is offering the annual fishing program women anglers in training April 27-28.
This two-day experience will introduce surf fishing, pier fishing, bottom fishing, tying lures, trolling with live bait, king fishing, flounder fishing and net casting. The event concludes with a daylong fishing trip on that Sunday either on the pier or by boat.
