NEW ULTIMATE FITNESS CLASS
A new fitness class for those 18 and older is at Ocean Isle Beach Park and Shallotte District Park. Class is for anyone 18 or older. Classes are 6:30-7:15 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 5:30-6:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at OIB Park. Classes are 6:30-7:15 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Shallotte Park. A free sports camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade will take place Aug. 1-4 at Shoreline Church, 4198 Vanessa Drive in Southport. Christian Adventurers, a sports ministry based out of Graham, will bring 40 teenagers to Southport to put on a sports camp with a Christian emphasis focusing on basketball, cheerleading and field sports. YOUTH SWIM LESSONS
Sessions will run through Aug. 24. Beginners (ages 4-6) start at 5:30 p.m., advanced beginners (ages 7-10) start at 6:15 p.m. Fee: $65 per one child, $60 each for two siblings, or $50 each for three or more siblings. MEN’S AND WOMEN’S EVENING TENNIS
Open to all NTRP levels at Ocean Isle Beach Park. Runs through Aug. 28. Men’s evening tennis will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday evenings. Women’s evening tennis will be 6-8 p.m. Thursdays. West Brunswick High School is offering a summer football camp 6-8 p.m. July 25-27. This will be an all-positions camp and quarterbacks/wide receivers camp. The Cougar Youth Football Organization is offering a summer football camp 6-8 p.m. July 26-29 at the Bill Smith Park Football Complex. There will be fundamentals training and positions instruction. SOUTH TENNIS FUNDRAISER AUG. 16
The inaugural Cougar Tennis Rally, a fundraiser for the boys’ and girls’ tennis teams at South Brunswick High School, will take place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 16 at South. The $25 entry fee covers lunch. The entry fee after Aug. 9 is $30.
Adult participants will be paired with a South player, and there is a morning session and an afternoon session. Prizes will be awarded. An auction and a romantic getaway raffle are also part of the fundraiser.
The boys’ team completed its second consecutive undefeated conference season and the girls’ team has won four straight unbeaten conference championships.

YOUTH FOOTBALL, CHEERLEADING REGISTRATION
Registration is open for the youth football program and the youth football cheerleading squads. Registration forms are available online under youth athletics or call 253-2670 to have one mailed to you. If you would like to volunteer to become a cheerleading coach, contact Ruthie McHugh at 253-2583. Deadline for registration is July 31. Each of the 12 teams is limited to the first 35 players/cheerleaders registered. Fee is $50; after July 31, $65.
SUMMER TENNIS LESSONS (YOUTH AND ADULT)
Brunswick County Parks and Recreation is accepting registrations for summer tennis lessons. Lessons are at Smithville Park, Ocean Isle Beach Park and Lockwood Folly Park. Classes for youth are from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Ages and skill level vary. Adult lessons are are from 5:30-7:45 p.m. Skill level and times vary. Private tennis lessons also available.
