County commissioners heard a number of difficult options to deal with rising health insurance costs at a special workshop Monday, Feb. 17.
The insurance plan for 2013-14 costs a little more than $10 million.
If the county wants to maintain the insurance plan at the same levels provided in 2013-14, the cost to the county is expected to increase by almost $2.5 million.
At the workshop, County Manager Ann Hardy offered leaving the policy the same and taking the financial hit as one option.
