A suspect who stole a car in Supply on Monday morning led police on a two-state chase before he was eventually apprehended.

According to Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Charlie Miller, the suspect stole a car in Supply around 11 a.m. Monday, July 26. Sheriff’s deputies responded, and chased the suspect.

Brunswick County Sheriff John Ingram said the suspect was Jeffery Darryl Collins.

“We used stop sticks twice,” Miller said about the chase.

Miller said deputies continued the chase into South Carolina. Collins drove the stolen car to Seacoast Medical Center in Little River, S.C., where he stole a medical supply truck at the hospital.

“He stole that and got back on Highway 9,” Miller said. The sheriff’s office helicopter was tracking Collins, who then continued on Highway 90 toward Conway, S.C. Collins then drove toward Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Collins was apprehended in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., around 1:30 or 2 p.m. Monday, Miller said.
