It’s never too early to learn to help others and give back to society. Students in the Communities in Schools After School program at Lincoln Elementary have been doing just that.
They collected a truckload of holiday decorations, winter clothing and household items to donate to the CIS Thrift Shop.
“The children were excited to share what they have and help other children in need,” said Minnie Holiday, CIS site manager.
With money tight, more and more people are turning to thrift shops to make ends meet.
“I love that the students are doing something to help others during the holiday season,” said Terry Little, thrift shop administrator.
The donations help support CIS programs, as well as the families who shop there to find affordable items.
