Three students from South Brunswick High School were local winners in the annual Young American Creative Patriotic Art Competition sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7288 in Calabash. Entries for the competition were judged on the originality of concept, presentation clarity of ideas, design technique, patriotism expressed in the artwork and uniqueness.
The three winning students selected by VFW Post 7288 were: Jamie Brook Garner, first place; Darien Hewett, second place; and Megan Varnam, third place.
