I hate to say this, but I don’t have much to report this week. Quite honestly, the fishing has been subpar for the past week, mostly in part to persistent southwest winds, making for rough seas and apparently unfavorable feeding conditions for fish. The facts are the fish, in particular topwater feeding fish, seem to be driven by weather. Barometric pressure seems to be the main driving force, and if I knew exactly when the fish were or were not going to bite, I could save myself a lot of waiting.
