Sunset Beach crime report

Sunset Beach police officers investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week.

According to Det. Steve Smith, Sunset Beach police arrested Jamie High of Dogwood Drive for larceny of alcohol from the Sunset Beach ABC Store and driving while impaired.

Smith said police also arrested Marcus Hopkins, a fugitive who was wanted in Rockingham and was living in the Landing II. Hopkins was wanted for stealing jewelry cases at Wal-Mart. Police officers kept him in the jail until Rockingham authorities could get there, Smith said.
