Police on Saturday arrested a man for assaulting his brother.
Jose Basilio Arrazate Calderon, 33, of 38th Street, was arrested March 22 after his brother was hit over the head with the base of a cordless telephone and sustained an injury, Sunset Beach Deputy Chief Steve Smith said.
Calderon was charged with simple assault and carrying a concealed weapon, a 100,000-volt stun gun.
Police also arrested James Brent Floyd, 31, of Calabash, on March 21 after he was stopped and his vehicle impounded for having no insurance. A warrant check with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office revealed there was an order for Floyd’s arrest.
Police also investigated a larceny March 18 of a 5-by-10-foot utility trailer from a residence in Cape Side.
