SUNSET BEACH—A rash of recent break-ins has Sunset Beach police urging people to be mindful about locking their vehicles and homes.
Each of three houses that were broken into had unlocked doors and windows, Sunset Beach Detective Joe Smith said. A vehicle that was broken into on Indigo Circle was also unlocked.
Smith advises the public to lock vehicles and make sure all windows and doors on their homes are locked as well. Another important thing owners can do is keep a log of make, model and serial numbers of all valuable items, he said.
