Brunswick County deputies are on the lookout for two armed-robbery suspects.
At 5:44 a.m. Thursday, deputies were dispatched to the scene of an armed robbery reported at Winner's World, 10200 Ocean Highway in Carolina Shores.
Suspects are described as black males, one with a heavy build, weighing about 270-300 pounds with no mask. The other suspect is described as tall and slim, weighing about 170 pounds with a mask covering his face.
After taking an undetermined amount of cash, both suspects left in a car in an unknown direction.
On Thursday afternoon, an employee told a Beacon reporter a customer inside the store died during the robbery. It may have been a heart attack. Details are not known at this time. The sheriff's office has not confirmed the information, saying only the investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
A $500 reward is offered by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two subjects involved in this robbery.
