To the editor: The primary and General Election are nearly here, especially the primary, which will take place May 6.
Every vote counts, and I’ll be casting mine for Paul Swartz for county commissioner, Brunswick County 4th District, who is running as a Democratic candidate.
I know he is worth my vote and let me tell you why: He is dedicated to serving the citizens of the community; compassionate toward the needs of others; takes on tasks and fulfills what is required; has a sincere interest in what you have to say; and is open minded—an affiliated Democrat who will serve the need for doing the right thing.
The list could go on, but just take the time to think about these attributes and you will know he will make the right decisions that will affect you on a personal basis.
He was an educator for 36 years; former county commissioner in Maryland for several terms; athletic coach in major sports at a high school level; husband, father and grandfather; and a good Christian person serving God, Jesus and his fellow man.
With these qualities and background, Paul is well qualified to serve as a commissioner in Brunswick County.
A vote for Paul Swartz is the right thing to do. He will serve you well.
Call on him at anytime; get to know him, and I know you will be doing the right thing by voting for him because he will be there for you.
