The Wilmington Prostate Cancer Support Group, Us TOO has purchased DVDs of talks on research and treatment for use at meetings most months this year. Subjects include C-11 Choline PET Imaging, High Risk PC, Optimizing Sexual Outcomes (after treatment), Sexual and Relational Intimacy, Managing Advanced PC Towards a Chronic Disease, PSA Recurrence after Surgery or Radiation, and a Program Wrap-Up Session.
Programs and Support meetings are the first Thursday monthly at 6:00 p.m. in the SEAHEC Auditorium, New Hanover Regional Medical Center, 2131 S. 17th Street, Wilmington. No July program on the 4th.
March 7's DVD talk is by Eugene Kwon, MD, Mayo Clinic on A NEW BEGINNING WITH C-11 CHOLINE PET IMAGING. Imaging remains a subject under much research and new uses.
Men and/or their spouses are invited who are concerned about their PSA tests, newly diagnosed or under treatment, those with recurrent PC and survivors, no matter how long ago you were treated. All can support one another using these programs, discussions, current literature and free reference materials.
