To the editor:
On Saturday, Aug. 18, my 11-year-old grandson had a biking accident on Ocean Isle Beach.
People came immediately to help. One man took off his shirt to make a sling, and someone else brought an ice pack.
The people on Wilmington Street were wonderful. I want to thank them all. We did not get any names, but instead rushed to the hospital.
Surgery was required, as his arm was broken. The staff at Brunswick Novant was kind and caring. A special thanks to the doctors that helped.
The people of Brunswick County are amazing.
