To the editor: I want to thank some special people in the community.
On Jan. 3, my husband Jim and my daughter Jaimee Lynn were in a terrible accident at the curve on Thomasboro Road just before U.S. 17. My husband’s car rolled over three times and they landed upside down across the ditch.
A family named Hoover helped my daughter to safety and applied pressure to her laceration on her head.
Both of my family members were taken to Brunswick Community Hospital by ambulance. They remember an EMT named Jill and another named Tim. We also remember Officer Nance. All of these people came to my family’s rescue and we did not get a chance to properly thank them.
We would all like to thank these members of the community who took time out of their schedules to assist in the rescue of my family.
We all take for granted the hassles of everyday life and forget what is truly important to us...family, friends. For those who took time from their own tasks to save my family members that Saturday afternoon, we truly want to express our deepest gratitude.
